How to join two word documents ?

I have two word documents each containing separate title as well as some contents. Now I want to join those two word documents in such a manner that editing 1st file's content doesn't affect 2nd files title position.

Is there a way to do it? Am I overlooking simple things?

PS: I'm using MS WORD 13

the only way i can think of is copy the content of one file to the other file.......and edit the file you want....

Keep both the files separated and join them (through copy-paste) only when you actually need to present them in one peice.

If I change page margin then that would displace the 2nd doc's title. That's what I want to avoid.

You can try to create a PDF document of both and then merging them PDF together.

When you try to change the margin of a page, there is an option to set the margins to:
-> Whole Document
-> This point forward

That's how different margins are set in different pages in the same document.

Or you can just insert a Blank Page then copy a page to that blank page. Insert another blank page and copy the page to it, that way also you'll maintain titles and heading.

create a separate section for both.
