How to install game on lg l9

I am having lg l9 p765 i want to install games like GTA VC ,NFS MW, MC 4ZH etc i have download the apk +SD data of some games i copy it to my sd card/Android/obb but
the games are not starting, do i need root my mobile and how to root

If you buy the games from the play store you dont have to manually copy the files anywhere... and i cant speak for cr!@#$d games....
