My god? 40 GB is called to be large drive..! strange..In todays senerio 160+GB hard disk is i suppose to be called as large drive.

while formating making it FAT will convert it into FAT32 dont worry and go for it...

Iam not expalining the Probs properly

What iam goin through is

WindowsXP has put some limitation with max size of fat32 drives
though i've made drives of up to 50 GB in windows 98 and format it to

but things goes to hell with xp
the moment the size of drive goes 32 gb you cant format it with FAT32 , only NTFS is available option.

is there any way i can bypass this limi. without using any external tool, as it sounds crazy to use the bootable disk to do this simple job.

is it possible "ONLY USING WINDOWS XP"

use partition magic tool or try out in DOS mode for the same...
I can't test this out sincde i have a 80 gb of hdd with 2 gb of free space..
try out all the possibilities suggested above
