How to connect laptop to TV

I have an Acer Aspire 5500 laptop..How do I connect it to TV..and how will be the quality of the 700 MB torrent movie on 23" TV screen

Quality is nice if ur 700 mb m ovie is a dvd rip. I connect my desktop pc to my 29 inch tv and it gives very nice quality.
I have geforce graphics processor in my pc and it has tv output slot. . .

U will need a S-Video Cable for connecting a laptop 2 a TV

Two way S video cable only if your TV also has S Video input.. Else you'll have to opt for an S video to RCA cable (which has only the yellow connector). For audio you can get a 3.5mm headphone jack to RCA cable that has red and white connectors at the end. So your connection will be like this:
From laptop S Video out to yellow of TV composite input
From laptop headphone jack to red and white of TV composite input
You might need to go to your gfx settings and enable dual display after this.

^^ Around 80 to 100 bucks might be.. You'll find it very easily from a local electronics or computer shop..
As for the setting, I'm not sure how it is for the Ati Radeon GFX card you have.. There must be some option to change the GFX properties (usually seen in the right-click menu on the desktop also)... In that you'll have to go to display (it'll be something like "set up multiple displays"), and choose your option..
