How to combine multi CD software installer to one DVD???

Hello friends! I have various softwares and games that comes in 2 or more CD's, for example, Microsoft Encarta World Atlus, Commandos 3, IGI 2 etc. I want to write all the data to one single DVD in such a way that while installing or accessing, it doesn't ask for the next CD. I hope I am clear.

Please help me to reduce the number of CD's...

one way would be to just copy the cd contents on the dvd and eveytime u want to install, u have to create virtual cd roms using software like virtual cd or alcohol 120% and assign the contents of the 2nd cd in the virtual drive....but this is lengthy there mite b other ways

Thanks ishaan! Another problem is that I dont now anything about virtual drives. Can you please tell me what actually is Virtual drive and how do I create them...

to create a virtual cd, jus install any one of the following (maybe even more types )

1.Virtualcd
2.Alcohol 120%
3.Nero Imagedrive
4.Clone CD

The Wiki will tell you everything about the Virtual Drives...... Alcohol 120% is a program that is the best when it comes to CD Image making and mounting those images to a virtual CD ROM..............

Instead, I want to do something by which the the complete installer will fit one DVD and then while installing, the installer shouldn't ask for the nest CD. Is there any file in the CD installer that has the command to asks for the next CD, which we can delete and give the new path for it.

What you want can't be achieved, according to my view........ coz you will need to reverse engineer the installer...... and it is not so practical................

just freakin extract all the files from alll the cd's in one folder
and then burn them to DVD !!

This may not work for all installers and protected games and programs........

it doesnt work if its a multi cd os ... and ur installin from booting the cd's

it works for games like nfsu , nfsu2, doom 3, ut2004, painkiller, splinter cell: pandora, counterstrike condition zero
and these are the games that ive tried it with ..

yeah i got da same problem. i also want to burn encarta & fedors core 3 some1 plz suggest

encarta may NOT work

now fedora is an OS
and the method wont work for that since u have to combine the md5 hashes of each disk
theres a method for suse 5 cd installation
u can try the same commands for the 3cd fedora
