Preety cool Config !!!
Well first of all he will not get much for his old system and the new system will cost him arount 27K to 32K, and the old system could be sold for around 10K to 15K !!!

well vysakh, i know very well its ur config rite??

anyways

3.2 ghz u definately meant for a LGA 775 socket but tht mobo is a 478 Pin one

so u cant use that

for a cost effective solution from Intel

go for a 3 Ghz + Gigabye 915 motherboard + 512 Mb RAM + 6600 non GT + Creative Sound Blaster Live 24 bit + a Creative 4.1 or 5.1 solution according to ur needs

Dont go for Asrock mobo. This one has both AGP + PCIexpress. You can use only one of them at a time.
Further these are special slots turned into AGI 8x and AGI express slots. They support only select gfx cards.

Here's the compatibilty list for AGI 8x slot:

And it is clearly stated there that ATI 9600 series is not supported by AGI 8x slot.
I also intended to buy a 9600 pro when i bought myZenith PC but bad luck it came with Asrock mobo.

Here's the compatibilty list for AGI Express slot:

Note1. Turbo cache PCI Express x 16 VGA cards are not recommanded to use.

Note2. If you encounter any compatibility issue when installing above ATi X300 series and X700 series graphics cards, please make sure to update the VGA BIOS version according to the VGA BIOS information in the table above.

The AGI express list does not list 6600 gt, so what does that mean. Dont know. u wont get any help, the only way is to take a risk and test it for urself.

Here's the detalied article:

Conclusion:
Asrock Mobos are c***.

Go for gigabyte 915 duo.
