jus refer ur manual for clearin ur in cabinet doubts and open it and whiz ! do it ur self, how ever if u want to learn the easier way, jus call a person..

Bout linux, its as easy as 1-2-3 but configuring it for servers and all is a bit advanced ...

As far as I've understud your question, installing the 2nd HDD is easy.

Get a IDE Cable that can connect 2 devices,it may look like this:
Connect 1 end to the motherboard, the other end your new HDD,connect the middle part to your old HDD.

Make your new HDD as primary by changing the jumper settings.See pic:

Fix the jumper to the 1st 2 pins of your new HDD to make it primary.

You can easily install second hdd to your pc.
Make one of them as master( it has operating system& your pc boots from this hdd) & make other as slave.
Refer to the top of your hdd for jumper settings.

For your second que Installing LINUX is as simple as installing windows the only problem that novice user faces is "how to create Linux partitions.
Linux uses Two partions to get installed. One is ext3(root partition allocate max space to it) second one is swap( it is optional but creating it is good habit allocate twice ur RAM space to it).
If you faces any problem search in the forum (open source i thing) to know detailed info about installing linux

mandrake 10 is the one linux which is easiest in installation and as much functional as others.

if u r a newbie to linux go for mandrake 10.1. and really careful abt the partitions as they may east up ur primary drive.
