Help!!!XFX 8600 can handle 22 inch moniter??

I've been reading this thread for a while and saw that there is kinda argument going on here on CM extreme series

look it totally depends upon your luck....yeah i said luck!!
I've heard many cases of blowing up of graphic cards due to CM extreme
And I've seen so many cases of power hungry gfx card running all well

SO u see...it depends
also the location matters..i mean where r u staying
is the environment hot or cool enough to make things secure

earlier i already mentioned, Extreme Power doesn't come with any guarantee it'll go up. just some breaks down if load applied.

I mean whats the reason of taking risks
by just adding around 1k to the price of CM X series anyone can get a LOT better stuff and its SAFE too

who needs add 1k? simply adding 200 bucks more or so will fetch you a better PSU, like FSP Saga II 500W/Seasonic 380W/Corsair CX400W & a hell lot from Silverstone & Tagan. and all these are enough to run a HD5770 with a well organised system.

Regarding cabby, go for CM 690 II or you can also get CM 690 for as low as 4k..

And regarding PSU, Corsair is awesome, I agree, but CM Extreme is running fine too.. I guess that it is CM Extreme Plus.. The thing is that, I live in Himachal. People here are not as tech savy as you guys. Recommending them a PSU above 1.5k is huge.. so forget PSUs like Corsair, Tagan etc which are above 3.5k I guess..

For eg, One of my friend who as a Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600, 4 GB RAM, 1 TB+250 GB HDD is looking for getting a new card like 5770 or above.. But he doesn't plays even a single game on his PC, he just competes with my group..

He has about 1.3 TB HDD which is filled almost completely 90% with Porn.. so when I suggested that he should go for either CM Real Power or anything else, he was reluctant..

The thing is that, I live in Himachal. People here are not as tech savy as you guys. Recommending them a PSU above 1.5k is huge.. so forget PSUs like Corsair, Tagan etc which are above 3.5k I guess..

Well, no suggestions anymore, but just one point. The thread starter already has corsair CM PSU, so there's no question of adding 200 bucks or 1000 bucks as many suggested. He would have to buy a new PSU by paying the whole Rs. 3700. So it isn't a question of 100 bucks but 3700 bucks. Anyway, now that he doesn't want to take risks, it's alright.

who needs 3700? he can go for FSP Saga II 400W or Gigabyte 460W. both will be able handle a HD5770, provided the rest of the system is light. and both cost below 2.5k. the FSP is available for as low as 2k in some places. or he can go in with a Corsair CX400W, if he needs peace of mind.

Well, now that there are so many suggestions, Let me ask something too. I will be buying an HD 4670 soon. Since the card consumes <60W, I don't think I'll need to go for such PSU. What PSUs can I find within a 1000 bucks. My existing PSU is not good enough for any gfx card as i have already written it is a frontech.

within 1000 bucks you'll get same stuff different names. cheapest yet good PSU is FSP Saga II 350W. or desi PSU like VIP 400W Gold (nothing golden about it). VIP will ost 1300-1400. FSP 1500, but worth it.
