help with my booting speed...urgent..

dear friends,
i have just buyed a P.C with a follwing cunfiguration:
p4 -3.0
intel original 915gav motherboard
256(400 fsb) ram,
then also booting speed of windows-xp with service pack1 is slow, how can i solve this problem ?

1) wat do u mean by increasing my boot speed?

2) try not usin too many items on startup that slows down the computer.

i had a PIII 900 Mhz wit 128 MB ram... but in my startup only NORTAN was there.. and my desktop was clear of shortcuts.. only MY COMPUTER and Recycle Bin were there.. and i could comfortably reach the desktop in under 30 secs.. i thought it was fast enuff..
