Help with assembling

Hi,
I'm going home tomorrow to assemble a PC (components suggested by you guys ) for my brother. It's my first complete build, but I've done lot of removing and reconnecting of all the components like mobo, cpu, gpu with my old PC. So I think I should be able to do it myself. Moreover I've downloaded few videos from youtube and got some pdfs explaining step by step assembling just in case. I've some queries regarding this which I hope you guys can help me with.
1. What is an alternative to antistatic wrist wrap? I don't use a carpet in my room so I'll be always grounded. Is that enough? Just give me some general tips and btw inside of my case is painted so it won't conduct right?

2. Should I mount the mobo before connecting CPU? Different videos are showing it differently. It's just about convenience right? What order would you prefer?

I'll post photos as soon as I'm done with build. :-D

Yeah that should be enough.

I will recommend you to mount CPU and the fan of the CPU before mounting mobo to the cabinet. It will be easier to mount CPU and the heatsink before attaching to the cabinet and less chance of breaking something. In addition you will have more space when you do it outside.
I'd recommend attaching all essential components like GPU, RAM etc outside the cabinet, it will be lot more convenient IMO.
