I have Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray bought some 3 months ago. Often the network goes off completely and resumes in less than a second. This results in frequent call disconnection, data balance (last call charge is 0.00MB) message popping up everytime disturbing the music playback and others.
I am using Airtel network in Bangalore. Is it because I was using dual-mode/WCDMA (3G) mode? I never kept it at gsm mode as I'm using 3G data pack (monthly).
I gave it to service centre in Koramangala (Trident), they said the network IC and hardware is fine. Its problem with airtel 3G network so use only GSM mode. I haven't tried that yet as I will get my mobile today.
My concern is if its the network IC problem and i don't get it repaired soon I will have to pay the repair amount after waranty period, which is what they want i Guess. Please advice.
