(help needed) Memory card formatting

Hi guys its urgent. I am using a N72.
For I want to format my memory card. But I dont have a card reader.
When I am trying to format my card phone is giving error saying that card is in use.How can I format my MMC. Its urgent..

try connecting phone to ur comp thru data cable. there i think u will see the data present in the memory card. phone memory will not be visible. (not sure since been some time since i used my mobile).

if above thing happens, then delete data on MMC.
but take a second opinion b4 deleting.

I hav connected the Mobile to PC using data cable. (Its the first thing I did.)
But the thing is I want to delete softwares installed in Mobile too.
And the system folder is not visible when u connect it through data cable....
Googling is not helping too...
Help needed as soon as possible.

you cant delete phone memory from pc. if its that urgent try HARD RESET. warning: all data will be lost. switch on phone then type *#7370#
visit *discussion.forum.nokia.com/forum/showthread.php?t=54058 before that.

EDIT: you would be better off using memcard reader, if u can get it from any of ur friends/ or buy it.

Will this \hard reset will format my MMC. If yes. I can take risk. If no...
Please give a foolproof method...

Close all the processes b4 formatting ur mmc...
also if u have a n72 go for the 3 key format ie press green, *, 3 keys wen rebooting... to format ur cell

It still didnt formatted my MMC. It formatted my Mobile

But no problem. The formatting of mobile solved my various problem I was having with my mobile...]
So i dont need to format my MMC yet.
But still if someone found a Fullproof method to format MMC please post it. I am interested.

and nopes... a hard reset wont format ur mmc... just ur device memory... and ther s no risk in it... completely safe... just do it on a fully charged battery....

if this is the error, you cannot format the memcard from phone as you have installed the softwares on the memcard
now first do the three button format of the phone
then install the fxplorer or any other file explorer on the phone memory
then by that delete all the files form memcard
then format memcard, it will format
