Help me with Networking ... PLZ...

I am new to this forum
I posted a thread earlier but no one replied...
here's at it again
I recently bought a new laptop P4, 80GB Hard disk and 1GB ram (Dell Laptop)
I already own a Desktop PC - P4, 80GB Hard disk and 512 MB ram
My laptop has aLan Card but Desktop doesnt
I have over 5 GB of music collection and abt. 3 & 1/2 GB Of other imp data
how can I manage a network btwn my Laptop and desktop ?????

i cannot afford a HUB

get a lan card and a short lan cable and connect them
u dont need hub for just 2 cilents

A LAN card is a must for the Desktop PC. Get it and use a CROSS OVER UTP cable to directly connect ur Computers.

Hi,
Mr.Bhide, purchase a LAN card for ur PC, & a wire having connectors (RJ 45) to the both ends, & jus connect ur PC with Laptop

Someone around me told me that an External hard Drive can also work
After giving the avl.space ( 100GB or 150 or 200GB) and its utility ,
I decided to drop my cost factor and am ready to shell out some Xtra bucks
How much can an Hard drive (Xtrnal) Cost ???
and ,
Which one's the best ..... ???
Seagate, samsung, Iomega, Maxtor, Transcend
