Guys, can you please recommend me a System, basically an External Storage System with following specifications: Possibly with its Rough Cost too.
- Raid Controller
Storage with Dual Active, hot-swappable Controllers
- Cache
Minimum 2 GB Battery Backed Data cache across dual controllers and cache mirrored and battery backed.
- Hard Disk
Which supports SAS, SATA and Near Line SAS Disk Drives.
Storage to be scalable to at least 96 Disk Drives.
Storage DS 3524 to be with 15x1TB HDD. The storage system should supporting Small Formm Factor
Drives for higher Dense Capacity.
- Availability
Should offer redundant power supplies and cooling units
Support RAID Level 0, 1, 3, 5, 6, 10
Support Global Hot Spare
Support Multiple paths from server to SAN. Software required for this to be supplied for at least 20 servers.
Support Automatic failover in case of failure of one controller.
- Architect/Performance
Storage Array configured with at least Four 6 Gbps SAS/4Gbps FC Ports for host connectivity.
Storage Array with at least Two 6 Gbps SAS Drive ports for disk connectivity.
With Cache IOPS rating of at least 140,000 IOPS
With Sequential throughput of at least 4 GB/s.
- Management
The Management Software to support the following:
Dynamic Expansion Attachment while application is online.
Dynamic Volume/LUN Expansion
Dynamic Raid Level Migration (DRM)
Dynamic Segment Sizing (DSS)
Dynamic Mode Switching between Sync/Async Replication
Storage to be configured with space Efficient Flash Copy for the entire capacity and to support for Volume COpy/Closing.
It should support Data-In-Place Upgrade.
- Remote Application
The storage array should be capable of Synchronous and asynchronous replication. There should be capability to switch between Synchronous and asynchronous modes.
- OS Support
The disk system to be capable of supporting Linux (x86 and RISC), Win 2003, Win 2008, VMware, AIX, VIOS Operating System
