planning to buy a new system for a fren of mine for about 25K. it would great if u guys could help me :

Core 2 duo 2.66/3.0 Ghz
motherbaord: Plz choose one for me
RAM: 3 GB. will 4 GB RAM support in windows xp pro? (2x2GB)
500GB seagate
19" TFT

will be using mainly for watching movies/songs/ and play games (not high end)... not sure if i'll need a graphcis card. do specify one though.

m confuse about the motherboard and RAM. also, will it be wise to check out AMD processor too? do help me with this too. will buy it this saturday or sunday at nehru place.

Don't get MSI mobos coz I have jheard that entry level MSI mobos are not so good.

I've suggested about rams :

2x 1GB Transcend DDR2 800Mhz Ram Rs. 1200

cabinet: Rs 1150
2GB+1GBRAM simtronix : Rs 1010+490
500GB Seagate SATA: Rs 2690
LG DVD Writer: Rs 1015
LG 19inch: Rs 6650
Navtech kb+mouse: Rs 300
UPS Somex: rs 1000
intex 2000w speakers: Rs 900

didnt buy any graphics card as it went beyond the budget. thanx again.

Should have gone for AMD combo. Dont get me wrong- not that I am criticising you, but you should have some research from your end if you didnt get much replies.

@ hackerzlab - Congrats for your new rig & you don't have to worry about the seagate hdd. Just update the firmware.

thanx for the info. i have been buying only seagate products!! no problem face by me so far. anyways 3 years warranty is a long time. its not for me either :) but hope it doesnt create any problem. besides, he mentioned particularly abt 1 TB/

@hackerzlab, good buy
my experience with seagate has been good. have bought 640GB with 32MB buffer in 3.8K and running it hard and still it is going good.

your proccy would be E7400 and mobo would be DG33 chipset, overall this is a good performance for general users.
