your proccy is OK but not good enough to play games that have been released in the last 3 years(I had the same)..
you cannot use DDR3 on that...no way..for DDR3 you will have to buy a new motherboard which means a new proccy as well..

You can get a 1TB HDD SATA for around 2.8k
make sure that your board has SATA ports..mine did but it was not the same case with my friend's..
your PC can handle anything except games and heavy rendering so...You should save up and make a new purchase later or buy a console(after a bit saving)
or if you want to buy DDR2 and HDD let us know..

Your motherboard manufacturer's site says that your motherboard only supports Pentium 4, Pentium D and Celeron D processors. All of them are outdated and it makes no sense to go for them. It doesn't mention whether it supports Core 2 Duo processors but I think it will. And you can't use DDR3 RAM with your motherboard.

Here is my suggestion:

Extend your budget to ~15k and we'll try to suggest you a brand new CPU (motherboard, processor, cabinet, PSU, DDR3 RAM and Hard Disk). Sell your current CPU.

( just the cpu )

yup, you can get a decent CPU for around 25k. [NOT including monitor, keyboard etc.]

@OP
yup
thats the good idea to sell ur old setup
and in 25k u'll be able to fetch a decent gaming rig(only cpu and stuff)
