Requirements :

Must have :
Call (sorry datacards)
Netsurfing on phone (HTML and not WAP) (must have edge and gprs) :
- Email sites : yahoo , MSN , gmail , rediff....
- banking sites : icici , hdfc , hsbc ....
- Messengers : yahoo , msn , gtalk...(agile messenger??)
- Social networking : orkut , facebook. ... ..
- Share trading : sharekhan , icicidirect , indiabulls....
Netsurfing through PC (Edge/GPRS modem)
USB and Bluetooth

Highly Desireable but can live without a few of them, though would not like to do that :

WLAN (have WLAN at home and office)
CAMERA (decent pics of lighter moments that can erupt any time anywhere)
RADIO (for those long boring journies)
3G just incase 3G services start in few months...
BAR design : just adds to robustness of mobile to physical damages
Normal/Good Battery , installable softwares .....

Looks :
Working in office and dealing with external clients ...would desire more of conventional looks...

Hey guys.. thanks for all ur inputs... as u know that i was not willing to stretch until its worth it. i settled with Nokia 5700... bought for 12180 (including 1.5% for credit card charges) .... got a black one.

The phone is nice... and too complicated for me (this is my first smart phone) .. well signals are ok.. i feel that volume of ringtones is a bit less... MP3 are played well (both on loudspeaker as well as oem headset) ... camera is ok... well the pics are too noisy and grainy (tried it during even time only)..

well I have Airtel MO and i am not able to login to orkut and hotmail with the OSS browser..

@orkut.com i am getting the login screen back (i open orkut , input login and password , the screen goes to secure mode , gives a warning to come out of it 3 times and i am welcomed by the login screen again.)

@hotmail.com i am getting a wrong login or password stuff... i am sure that i am entring the correct login....

i am not facing any problem accessing mobile/standard google or mobile/standard (HTML) gmail

anyone any idea what could be the issue...?????

Just did not want to increase my number of posts... so giving the solution to other ppl

1-> Keep automatic reload on on settings -> page settings ... looks like orkut during authentication reloads the page .....

2-> when ever u get warnings of creating and leaving secure connection... wait for a sec or two before allowing it

3-> hotmail have 2 ways to login ... one is enhanced security and other is standard security... i was able to login with the standard security ............

I have managed to access orkut and hotmail once thru my mobile.... not sure what was the reason but taking care of the above mentioned points let me access them atleast once...
