well, yeah, that is always true for *almost* every Xperia phone.Just stating that X was and still is absurdly overpriced.

A phone worth 15k was launched at 48k and can't even shoot at 4k while RN3 with same hardware does it.

G5+ is currently the best phone you can get under 20k. G5s launch is rumored this month..
You should first make your mind regarding the brand. If you are open to other brands, then there are options with better specs.
I really need to do that. As of now, I'm really conflicted. What would opt for if you had a budget of 20-22k?
It really doesn't matter what I would have opted, because everyone has their own priorities. In my phone, I would want to see stock (or near stock) android, atleast 5.5 inch screen, smooth enough performance for daily tasks (I don't play games on phone) and just good enough camera for occasional clicks.
To be honest, the 15-25k segment is kind of dry in mobile market, maybe because ppl generally like spending little (10-13k) or all the way to >30k. For deciding one, you need to map out your priorities.
Regarding Sony Xperia X: It has Snapdragon 650 SOC, which is not the best in this price segment as you can get Snapdragon 820 (high end) in Xiaomi Mi 5. However, I would anyday opt for Xperia as I hate Xiaomi's miui android and Snapdragon 650 is decent enough for smooth tasks processing. But yeah, the 5" display on Xperia X would have hurt me.
Apart from Mi 5, I am not seeing any other competitive option in this segment (don't like device quality of ASUS, Honour, lenovo). I personally don't like Moto phones simple because of their design. umm..I may have considered iPhone 6 or finally decided to wait and increase my budget.
Have you given thoughts on options from Samsung (like A7?)
how bad is your touch problem? is it achingly unresponsive? how bad is the touch problem in XA Ultra? The UI in Sony xperia range is definitely clean..I am using xperia from last 5 years now..previous phone was Sony xperia ZL and now C5 ...If it was not the touch problem itself in my phone I would have selected Sony again maybe. it maybe my piece was bad but then my friend have similar experience with XA ultra..Cam /screen/design is definitely great.
My dad is using Moto G5 plus..its good , he dont have any problem till now. But I cant say much coz I dont have in-hand experience.
that's a bummer. And its something that can't be resolved using firmware updates I guess.I can say its more irresponsive then my Xperia ZL or one plus one. Its same with XA ultra...the problem is specially with home back onscreen keys ..also if there is a single droplet or any kind of sweat on screen then screen with respond in wrong ways
okay.. point noted. But nonetheless, give me an alternative to XA Ultra. Right now C7 Pro or OnePlus 3 can be another option. Are these two any good? (OnePlus 3T is beyond my budget). No it cant be resolved...phone definitely became faster using the androd updates and regular sony updates...but these issues are frustrating ...if you sweat a lot then just forget XA ultra .
Truly saying I am moving towards One Plus 5 now. You can wait a bit , definitely One plus 3T price will come down after one plus 5 launch. My wife has One plus one and its fast and smooth.
It didn't made sense when it launched and had terrible thermal throttling issues despite having heat pipes (courtesy of the Snapdragon 810).Guys. @sujoyp @Vineet Sharma @SaiyanGoku sorry for bothering you again. Just one advice. Does Xperia Z5 Premium makes sense today at 29k? (4K display, Nougat, 3GB RAM, Snapdragon 810, 5.5", 23MP, 3430mAH)
It's getting Nougat I heard. 3GB will hurt I guess. But I'm not into much gaming anyways. Just looking for smooth everyday multitasking.Xperia Z5 premium is a very good handset but now it has an old 810 processor, 3GB RAM ..Its 23MP cam is great.
All is good here except 3GB RAM...you may find it less in a year . Also it will not get any android update if you care about that.
S810 will cause heating issue? Moreover it has a mettalic chrome finish in back.It didn't made sense when it launched and had terrible thermal throttling issues despite having heat pipes (courtesy of the Snapdragon 810).
