Right off the assembly line
Hi friends,
I got this Ubantu Ultimate 1.6 ISO file with PCQ magazine's dvd. and I want
to install it.

I know how to burn an ISO etc. but I my DVD combo can not write.
I've Microsoft XP PC. With C and D drives, and D drive is completely empty =18GB.

I tried to search around on google, and some grub and lilo etc. I think there is some way for a hard disk partition booting and install from there etc.? but I'm unable
to understand what exactly needs to be done.

I found this thread Install Fedora Core 5/Suse 10 without burning CDs

Is it possible to do something like that? with same trick?

Please guide me,Thanks in advance.
Have a great weekend!

God of Mistakes...
It can possible, but you have to install GRUB for windows I think...

Or use BCD Edit / Easy BCD which can create an boot entry for Linux systems from windows...

But "YOU" have to experiment n search ;)

Good Luck !!
