No you can't setup ual channel with the rams currently you have.

You need another 1 GB ddr 400 Mhz Ram or 1 GB ddr2 667 MHz Ram ( Recommended - assuming yur mobo has 2 ddr & 2 ddr2 slots )

don't know about running ddr & ddr2 concurrently on same mobo.

Seed is the Life!!
for dual channel ram u must have same speed and same memory

dual channel is activated when putting in slot 1 and 3 OR slot 2 and 4 OR all the four. dont know with 8 slots mobo

even if you run all of them in your system the lowest speed will only be the effective speed.. in this case 400Mhz

Right off the assembly line
guys please reply.
pal, you should go through your MOBOs manual and you will find out
whether you have DDR2 slots or DDR slots than only you can proceed
putting in the DIMM.
For dual channel i would recommend same size, same frequency and same make(this "make" is debatable ) memory module having said that
today i myself
installed two different frequency DDR2 DIMM of 533 and 667 MHz but of same size i.e 1GB on my GA-945GZM-S2 motherboard both are working in DUAL CHANNEL!!.
Also if you want your system memory to be 1.5GB, yes you can add an
1GB and 512Mb given that slots are of same type and frequency.

^ Right said mate.
For example intel 856GBF which supports ddr rams only can run in dual channel mode.

Certainly you should get 1 GB module. It's the better choice.
