Help in connecting Orkut and Google Accounts!

Guys I m having a problem linking my Orkut and Google account!!Can any one help me please!!The problem is that wen I type My Orkut username on the Linking page of Orkut and Google my username is not completely shown...Viz:-My username is tathagata@yahoo.com but wat is shown is tathagata@yahoo.co where the letter "m"is missing due to which even if I type my correct password,my login fails saying that my password is wrong!!!pleae help!!!

did any one tried changing/resetting password use this
*www.google.com/accounts/ForgotPasswd

its better to Gmail Account instead of yahoo
