HELP C# or VB .NET

on behalf of a friend's bro,

a comp engg student(3rd year B.E.) in Mumbai suburbs
wants to do a language course side by side.
C# or VB. net or ne other lang.
initially a small course, say of 6 months, but may continue if gets interested.
wanna enter s/w industry after BE.

if ne experience, suggest an institution too. I mean good, bad, econnomical...etc. u got the idea.
PLz reply soon as his exams will end in few days.

Both c# and vb.net are equally powerful these days, Choose C#, it is specially designed for .net n definetly a better choice.And every one is going in c# sharp way.
He can also consider java, then comes java vs .net
java = old work horse, .net = future...i think
