Ans: Casual gaming - not resource intensive. Mainly for browsing, reading e-books, watching HD Videos

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.

Ans: No

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: Windows 8 Pro

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: 500

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: No. Have a Samsung 23" TV / Monitor

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: Monitor, 2nd HDD, DVD drive, Keyboard, Mouse, Speakers

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: Now

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: Assembler - mainly a friend

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: Bangalore, plan to buy locally

If you can spend 1000 more, go for the HD 6670 ddr5 graphic card.

Other wise this is a very VFM rig for you.

Is this a good configuration or do we have better alternates.
Not a die-hard Intel fan. I have an AMD Athlon II X64 running for 5 years+

Have a Samsung T23B350AR TV / Monitor with HDMI n VGA ports

As OP is not into any serious gaming, so getting a better cpu (or an APU) will be better than getting a low end GPU.

If OP is not going to buy a gfx card in future , you can go with the config suggested by Harshil , else go with the other one.
