Help assemble a pc

My uncle wants to assemble a pc which will be primarily used for watching hd movies(.mkv format).He already has a Panasonic 1080p projector and a Sony 5.1 sound system(supports dts).So there wont be need for speakers as these are quite expensive and their sound rocks.The projector has a pc out(vga).The budget is 50-55 k.As it will be placed next to home theater setup, the cabinet should be attractive.I am still in the dilemma whether to chose Intel or AMD.Same goes for nvidia vs ATI as ATI hasnt launched its directx 10 series cards.Please recommend a good configuration.Any suggestion regarding the same will be apreciated.

Pinnacle internal Tv tuner card.

if u wanna buy gfx card now then buy 8800GTS 320MB but i'll suggest u to wait 4 AMD-ATI to release their cards.
