HDD issue with Lenovo laptop

I am using Lenovo Z570 - 2nd Gen i3, 3GB RAM, 640GB HDD, 1GB RAM

As it is out of warranty, I have some questions for you.

Problem - Windows is not booting.
Earlier there was issues with some partitions, so I connected the HDD to my desktop and backed up data from these partitions and formatted. Problem was fixed. But this time it is not helping.

Prob #2: There is a 199MB partition, probably for Lenovo drivers and OS back up as Windows Home Basic came with the laptop. As I like to use Win7 Ultimate, should I format it?

I earlier did a format of C drive to install Win7 Ultimate - now shortcut keys of laptop is not working. Any clues ?

1) Can you explain what kind of problems did you faced earlier in your HDD due to which you had to format it?

2) 199mb is not at all enough to hold drivers, leave alone OS. A bare min of 5gb space is required. If at all it is believed that its a recovery partition by Lenovo and not windows PE partition, still you shouldn't delete it as it gives you the option of installing the stock OS without the need of any external media.

3) That's due to two reasons, one pathetic 'out of the box' driver support of windows, and second different implementations by different OEMs. For example, my friend's compaq laptop's every damn feature works in windows 7 without installing ANY driver, but only sound works in my vaio. But almost everything works in Ubuntu. Just install the corresponding driver and it should work fine.

thanks for all inputs. Let me tell the story of my lenovo laptop.

1. during february 2012 the laptop gets slow, and that time I had ubuntu installed, it also slow to load and after boot it was giving hdd error - I asked Lenovo guys to replace the hdd. They did without any question and it worked fine.

2. Now it is out of warranty and I found that Restore key does not load Lenovo's Win7 OS. (just now MiniTool reveals there is a 15 GB parition - primary in nature hidden). Anyway Windows has issues with time and it gets slow, I formatted C drive with a bootable pendrive and installed Win7 ultimate (cracked one). After some days Windows gets slow again, and data from specific partition is slow to load - say a movie/music files takes long time to play. I tolerated that, and continued. One day Windows stopped to boot. I connected hdd to desktop, backed up data from the parition and format it. It worked fine now. Windows loads.

But soon Windows starts giving blue screen error quite frequently - atleast once in 2 days, otherwise it is running fine. But since yesterday it sticks at Windows logo screen. I tried recovery mode - no help. I feel it is the hdd issue with windows, specially for Lenovo Windows partition of ~14GB.

Any help to enable to boot from Lenovo partition?
