having problem with ics update

first of all, sorry if i posted this on wrong place, please excuse me, i need real assistance.
I will tell my issue , please help me

I bought a Sony Xperia P from ebay.in on 7th NOV. When i received phone it was 2.3.7.
2 days back i updated it to android 4.0.4. My firmware number is: 6.0.B.544
After updation i can use my phone for hardly 10 minutes, after that phone hangs and restarting itself.
I called sony customer care, they told me to visit sony service centre. But service centre guys told me that the phone is of orgin south africa. So can't take it. Again i called sony customer care. Then they told me repair phone using PC companion. That also I did, but no use.

Please help me guys
1. Can i revert back to gingerbread android ???
2. Is there any bug fix for it?
Please help me ASAP

do a hard/factory reset. and officially it is not possible to revert back.
