i purchased a zotac p45 series motherboard and a seagate 1tb h.disk. the motherboard supports ddr3, 800&1033Mhz, but the shopkeeper gave me a kingston 2gbddr3 1333Mhz. within 15 days of purchase my hard disk got corrupted and i have to send it for replacement. is ram the cause of the problem or was the hard disk faulty?

no. if the motherboard doesn't support 1333Mhz ram, it'll clock down to a supported speed. maybe spike or just the hard drive was faulty. or it developed some bad sector.

Missed your PSU while posting my first post here.
Local branded PSU create problem all the time. Change it asap with some good branded psu (except for coolermaster extreme series).
