Need Hardware configuartion for testing virtualization
Hi, Below are my requirements let me know ur suggestions and recommendation!!!!
1. What is the purpose of the computer? Running multiple Servers on a single machine using VMWare workstation.
2. Are you open to alternate ideas/products giving similar better performance but offering more VFM/ sellers? Yes
3. What is your MAX budget? 40K
4. Planning to overclock? Nope
5. Which OS are you planning to use? XP
6. How much hard drive space is needed? 1TB
7. What resolution will the screen run at & whats the size of the screen? Not required
8. How would you rate your hardware knowledge from the count of 1-10? 5
9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler? I have build my own
10. When are you planning to buy the system? within July
11. Are you one of the types looking out for "future proof" configurations? Yes
12. Are there going to be any components that you don't want to include in this new rig? yes, Graphics card, Monitor, DVD Writer,OS, keyboard and mouse.
13. Which city do you live in and are you open to buying from shops from other city/states? Bangalore/Karnataka
14. Mention any other points if deemed necessary.
I am looking for a PC configuration using which i can run multiple Server using VMWare workstation.
Below are the minimum requirement for new configuration PC.
1) The SMPS which should drive atleast 4 HDD, pen drives and 2 external HDD drives.
2) It should have 4 RAM slots(both DDR2 and DDR3 supported motherboard price)
3) Processor should be VT enabled since i am using it for virtualization.
4) Network LAN device should have 1Gbps.
5) How to keep CPU away from DUST.
6) Suggest a cooling cabin, since i use 4HDD.
I have 4 SATA HDD and 2 External HDD Drives, Please suggest a SMPS.
Please let me know if there is a dual processor motherboard in which i can use the below processor.
CPU: Intel Dual core 3.4Ghz
Motherboard: Intel 945GNT original chipset
