Has anyone lately tried the new Google Desktop Search.

*desktop.google.com

Its indexing even from the web history and indexed my previously read emails. Dont u think it raises some privacy concerns. Your hard drive getting indexed

Please throw some light on this.

Google Desktop Search is a complete cr*p (I don't know why Digit filtered this word. It means just 'nonsense'). Its just the contrast to Gmail. And regarding privacy, GDS SUX!

hmmm yaa tuxly is right me too have second thots about this new desktop feature because first of all its always on in the background and the broadband users like me will always have a suspicion that it may be a new tool for the hackers to exploit
i mean a small bug is good enough for the hackers
an especially it has to be allowed to acsess the net
even if you have a firewall
