got to be more specific at least for the budget.
sony and canon cams are good, again you need to see what your requirements are.
Most of the cams come with some 2000X digital zoom which is of no use most of the time.
keep in mind
1.what is the res it shoots at?
2.sound channel?
3.night mode?
4.optical zoom?
5.can it shoot 16:9 as well as 4:3?
and then there are stuff like if you want a DVD cam or HDD?
i would recommend you go for a DVD one.
