Good enough gaming PC for 22k

Hello, world! I am planning on buying a new PC. My budget is limited to only 22k.

1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans: Gaming: BF3, COD series, Civilization V, AOE III, Assassins Creed III (Maybe?), contest programming, watching movies.

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans: Rs. 23,000. But I will try to upgrade my PC next year for sure.

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: Yes.

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: Windows 7 64 bit, ubuntu 13.04 64 bit(dual-boot)

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: I am not worried about hard drive space. I just need a fast enough hard drive like WD Caviar Blue(it's so pretty!!!). Anything above 120 GB would work.

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: No, I already have a monitor. Resolution 1280x1024. size: 17".

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: I don't have any CPU components as of now, sold my old one :( ...but yeah I don't want to buy DVD-RW.

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: Within a week.

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: I haven't done it before but I will assemble it myself (So cool!!!).

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: Delhi. I will buy from Nehru Place, it's cheaper.

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans: Yeah, after researching a lot, I settled on this config:

CPU: ARK | Intel® Pentium® Processor G2020 (3M Cache, 2.90 GHz) Rs. 2990
Motherboard: MSI Global ? Motherboard - B75MA-E33 Rs. 3700
GPU: AMD Radeon Rs. 7290
Hard Disk: WD Blue Rs. 2890
RAM: Undecided but 4 GB DDR3, either Corsair or Kingston Rs. 1700/1600
Case: Elite 344 - USB 3 - Cooler Master Rs. 1700
PSU: Probably Corsair 450w Rs. 2100

As I mentioned earlier, I will upgrade my PC next year, preferably processor (lol). I will try to get an Core i5.

That is a very unbalanced rig. My suggestion :-

Intel i3 3220 @ 7000
Gigabyte B75 @ 4000
Corsair / Gskill 4gb ram ( go for whichever is cheaper )
Sapphire HD 5670 @ 4000
WD Caviar Blue @ 3200
NZXT Gamma @ 2600
Corsair V430V2 @ 2600
Logitech KB/M @ 700
ASUS B5ST Optical drive @ 1000

Total 26800

If you dont mind amd then
A10 5800 @ 8500
MSI FM mobo @ 4000
Corsair / Gskill 4gb ram ( go for whichever is cheaper )
WD Caviar Blue @ 3200
NZXT Gamma @ 2600
Corsair V430V2 @ 2600
Logitech KB/M @ 700
ASUS B5ST Optical drive @ 1000

Total 23800

You dont need a GPU here since the inbuilt GPUs in the A10 are good enough for your specifications.

I think the amd rig is best for you. Your choice. :)

Go with the Intel Config .... Skip the GFX card and put that money to get I5 3470 or 3570 ....

And next year you just have to buy a new GFX card... Just manage with the Intels iGPU for a year. It can play all games at low settings....

@Sainatarajan Thanks, I appreciate your help, but an i5 would be impossible for me now. However, getting an i5 next year would be much much easier. I am thinking of getting MSI Global ? Motherboard - ZH77A-G41 for now. So when I upgrade to i5 (3570k), my motherboard pairs real well with it.

@shivakanth I have researched a lot, and nearly all the experts recommend getting a good graphics card if you're building a gaming intensive PC, which I am. CPU doesn't help much in gaming. Right now I can work with a dual core Pentium processor as I am not really going to do anything heavy, I understand that getting an 3220 would make my system much more balanced but if I get it this year then I wouldn't be able to upgrade to i5. As far as AMD is concerned I don't think it will be much helpful in long run as Intel processor with dedicated graphic memory would easily overpower AMD, at least that's what I have read.

The only reason I am compromising in CPU right now, because I know I will be able to upgrade to an i5 within 8 to 6 months. It's just that right now, I can't afford it. Budget it too less for a well rounded PC.

If your upgrading in a few months ok. Also ,please note, a good CPU is also necessary as otherwise it may bottleneck the graphic card . Dont go for MSI. Their pulling out of India. Get the gigabyte version.

What I am telling is get a very good CPU now and you just have to install a new gfx card next year.... Intel Haswell will out in coming months and there is a chance that the 3rd proc will not be available at that time and you have to upgrade Proc as well as Mobo ......
Getting a powerful CPU is also important.... The HD 5670 GDDR5 wont be able to handle the future games.... Its already a two yr old Graphic Card ... I hope you got my point...
