There is a java application for opening gmail. Use that. If you go to gmail.com/app, on your Java-enable mobile phone and download the small application, you'll be able to use Gmail, almost as easy as on your desktop.
vodafone live is only for opening wap pages ...
your option doesnt work. my colleague who has a pretty old Nokia handset is able to access gmail thru Vodafone Live.
i m wondering why it wud not work in mine. it used to in my old handset N3220

hmm...
the error message which i get is "unable to create a secure connection for this site". sometimes it gets thru and many times it doesnt.
i cant figure out why it cannot create a secure connection.
if i call vodafone helpline i m sure some idiot there wud say "Gmail server may b down", so i m not gona call them ...

the gmail application is also not working on the cell phones...its simply just refuses to connect......also in airtell too the secure connection problem occurs....nothing better with vodafone.......if any one is able to run the gmail application please post ...thnkx
