1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans: Games [ far cry 3, crysis 3, GTA ] + few movies + downloading + Skype, photoshop !

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans: 50 - 55 k

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: NO

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: Windows 7

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: 1 TB

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: Yes, around the 10k mark, (ie - 50-55k + 10k)

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: None.

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: A month.

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: Mumbai, Lamington

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans: well just in case, i need exact specifications of the actual product. i.e. for

I'm not satisfied with the motherboard...since i did some research on it.. and I'm not quite happy..
could you suggest me something better than 'Gigabyte B75M DH3'

Yes we can suggest a better motherboard. However, it will be easies to suggest one which meets your needs if you tell us what exactly you didn't liked in the previously suggested motherboard.

Change the Processor and Motherboard to a i5 3470 and Gigabyte GA-H77-DS3H/D3H. B75 is too basic for an i5 based gaming rig with an HD7950.

For pure gaming terms, if you consider games released within 2012 and which are not optimized to use multiple CPU cores properly, i5 3470/3450 is marginally better at stock speed. But the newer games like Crysis 3, Far Cry 3 and even the older Battlefield 3, which are optimized for multi-core CPU design, FX-8350 is a better solution. If you go by the trends, most of the upcoming games will be Mult-Core optimized and FX-8350 might have a advantage.
In CPU intensive workloads like Video Encoding and Editing applications, FX-8350 is faster.

FX-8350 or i5 3450..
Which one better? :hyper:
I would recommend FX 8350 for two reasons: first has been already mentioned by Cilus, the second one is the fx 8350 + a good 990FX motherboard costs 2-3 k less than i5 xxxxk + Z77 board. The saved money can be invested in better GPU for even better gaming experience.

I am using fx 8350 it is running faster than i5 and I'm using hd 7950 boost edition 3 gb gddr5 I think these will perform better and fx 8350 can be over clocked too :)

FX-8350 + 990FX board will be costing almost 5K lesser than a i5 3570K + Good Z77 Motherboard combo. The processor alone is 2K cheaper and at 9K, you can get a good 990FX board whereas Z77 board of same quality will be around 11K+.

@OP, I am also building a system around similar price range, but since my needs are different and gaming is just a hobby part of it, my system is based on Intel. For pure gaming / multimedia related stuff, AMD is best choice and is already suggested by all expert members here.

Here are my suggestions:

1. If you're skeptical about any component of your system, please list your questions one below the other and share them with us in one post so that members can help you finalize your config sooner.
2. I am also from Mumbai and planning to purchase in around next 3 - 4 weeks from Lamington, let's go and buy both systems together, we might get better pricing that way. :D

Depends.
games like crysis 3 are multicore optimized. so FX-8350 will be better, also BF3(MP only) is better on quad core processors and octa-core proccys
But in MOST Present games performance of i5 3470 is slightly better if not same to fx 83xx

the assumption that FX 8350 is "better" than any i5 is based purely on speculation
1.Since Crysis 3 is multi-core optimized, games in the future can be better on multi-cores
2.Next gen consoles are rumored to be using 8 core processors, and most PC games are ports of console titles, so you can expect octa-core processors to be the "recommended" specs to play game in high settings in the next 2-3 years

No more rumors thats a confirmation. FX 8250 makes a solid investment.
