Gaming PC config within 1 lakh

Hi All, I have read though the other similar PC Build Threads; however, haven't really found one that matches my requirements completely. So this one to get your expert advice !

1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans: Gaming (Far Cry 4, Crysis 3, Dragon Age, BF4, COD, FIFA 15...to name a few). I also use Photoshop extensively ! Looking for a PC that can play all these games at the highest specs/res)

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans:90000. Can stretch to 110000

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: Yes (modified)

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: Windows 8 for now (Looking to upgrade to Windows 10 soon)

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: As much as I can get within the budget. Plan to store oodles of stuff !
Would need an SSD for my OS + HDD for my staorage.

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: No. Already have the Dell ST2410

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: Monitor

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: ASAP

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: I will be building it (My 1st build though !)

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: Bangalore. Will be buying Online. (Might go to a local shop if a component is unavailable online)

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans: I'm looking for a kick ass Gaming PC (overclocking required to keep my rig future proof - Modified) as I intend to use this PC for the next 5-7 years at least and should be able to play the games then at least at the min settings.

Also adding a little bling with LEDs, a matching color scheme for the components and a good cabinet will be great (Not a mandate though...no compromise on Performance)

I also like the Corsair Brand and would like to use their Products where ever best.

Appreciate all your help - Thanks in advance !

Quick Question: Are these Online Prices. if yes would be great if you let me know which sites do you refer to !
Amazon & Flipkart either have these listed at a very high price or has a number of these components out of stock.

The prices specified are local CTC Market,Secunderabad prices. Normally local prices are cheaper than online ones.

Hi joydas_1,

For a gaming rig in this budget, then you go with the bssunilreddy configuration.

I'd like to add word in your future proofing rig question. In my opinion, the future proof rig has the latest CPU and the new MOBO with the latest technology. The future proofed rig has the ability to overclock the devices to until their maximum performance.

In short, for future proofing, your main focus on the CPU and MOBO. With that in future, you can upgrade the other peripheral devices like RAM and GPU.

For storage part, 128GB SSD drive is enough. The SSD mostly used as the OS/boot drive. SSD is expensive, however, they are worth every penny. For HDD part, I would advise you go with the WD Black 1TB for high performance, that is if you don't have the budget problem.

Good Luck.

Since you're not gonna overclock, change the cpu cooler to a Hyper Tx3 Evo. Also, get a B85 chipset mobo as it will be much cheaper and just as good without useless features. Use the extra money to get a R9 390 GPU instead of GTX 970. It will be much more future proof as it's architecture is much superior to Nvidia's for DX12 as shown by early benchmarks.

Thanks Bikramjit and DK: yes even I was thinking of the B85 mobo and yes the 128 SSD should be enough with the WD Black !!

Corrected the above table as per your requirement. Its better to go with a cheaper H97 Mobo as you might need RAID in near future. So suggested a cheaper H97 but solid Mobo.

I'm thinking I'll go for the overclocking option to be able to keep my rig future proof as suggested by DK_WD

Was wondering if the i7 4790k is a better bet than the Xeon E3 ? Might also go with a z97 mobo !!!

What do you suggest ??

Thanks Bssunil for sharing the vid...so both are pritty much the same; however the i7 k preferred for overclocking... I think I'll go with that.

Apologies but now that I have decided to go with the overclocking specs...I'm updating the OP and the requirements specified initially.
