1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans:Exclusively for gaming,games like Battlefield 3,Crysis and most recent high end games and games which are released in d future(3-4 years)

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans:50k,can extend it to 55k max

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans:If gaming requires overclocking,then yes otherwise no

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans:windows 7 64-bit

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans:500 GB would suffice

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans:21inches is enuf,with 1080p,HDMI,2-5 ms response time and if possible LED

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans:I don't have any,need to build d pc from scratch

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans:last week of May 2012 or in d beginning of June 2012

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans:It'll b done by an assembler

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans:I live in Bangalore, was planning to get it from S.P.Road in B'lore.If some components are cheap online then i'm ok buying online,preferably flipkart.

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans:I heard HD 7850 graphics card from AMD is very good,So was planning to build my PC using this card.
It would be great if you can suggest d config with 7850 includedfor my budget.I was planning to go with i5-2400(if overclocking is not necessary for gaming)

Just wait couple of days for the arrival of HD 7850. I've verified in Kolkata shops and as per them HD 7850 is gonna arrive on this week only and the price will be around 15K.

Yes. Also another good news is that Sapphire HD 7870 will be available at 21K price point, 1K cheaper than the MSI Twin Frozer Model. Probably will get one.

No it is not necessary. It has DVI port and the video quality of HDMI and DVI port is same, HDMI only provides extra capability of carrying digital audio signal too.
But for HD gaming nd video quality both are same.

How many years do you think this rig will survive before i need to change a component or two for gaming at medium settings ?

You might need to upgrade the CPU or GPU depending on the future game requirements, but I don't think that will be anytime soon, maybe after 1 or 2 years.

If you upgrade CPU with some other chipset support then you will definitely have to upgrade the motherboard, else it will be fine.

I don't think that the power consumption with newer CPU/GPU will increase as they are getting more efficient now, so your PSU might not need to be changed. But I would suggest you to go for Seasonic S12 II 620 if you are going to OC.

Rest everything will last long.
