Gaming PC 45k - extended to 60k

If you wish to purchase now, Ryzen 5 1600 + B350 motherboard is very good deal. You can get a M size B350 for ~Rs 5k also. Processor = 16.4k
I feel like going for Ryzen processors below that is not worth it. R5 1500x is just a quadcore.

lol. But on a serious note - this is definitely a bad time to set up a gaming PC. RAM prices keep on increasing every month. For eg. I bought a 16GB Corsair Vengeance 3000MHz stick for 7.9k (there was cashback offer going on Amazon during May). Listed price on Amazon was 9.3k and shops in SP Road, Bangalore were selling the same module for around 8.7k. Right now the same module on Amazon costs 15k & around 14.2k in SP Road. I cant even buy another module since I use quite a few VMs so I was hoping to up the RAM to 32GB. Similar story with the prices of SSD. RX 570 should have given tough competition to nVidia in GPUs but damn crytpo-currency mining. On top of that - BS strategy of Intel. 8th gen CPUs were not compatible with previous gen MoBos. So you see why waiting for now is the best strategy!!

Well, I researched a bit on Ryzen 5 1600 and I5 8400, and i think its not worth the wait. I dont know when the cheaper boards will be released, plus i dont want to spend so much on something new (combo).

Ill go for the Ryzen 5 1600 + B350.

Please suggest a good card in the range of 16k. Should i go for GTX 1060 3gb or stick with 1050 TI ?

Sorry if i wasn't clear with my earlier post. I meant I'm ready to increase my budget and go for Ryzen 5 1600 + b350 plus Ill spend approx 16k on a gfx card.

Try to stretch/adjust to get a 6gb 1060 as difference is not that much but a 3gb 1060 will run out of video ram in some games.

Z870 Mobos while being meant for overclocking also imply higher quality components that support the same.
That said, the difference in mobo pricing of Ryzen vs CoffeLake will net you a better graphics card, the one thing that matters most for gaming.
So for now, Ryzen 1600 + B350 mobo combo is a better deal than i5-8500+z370 for gaming.

You can get just 8 GB ram now and add another 8GB later. Also get a 250-280GB SATA SSD to help with getting game load times.

I want to buy first week of Jan. You guys got me too excited now.

Ill be also playing games like Wolfenstein, the next elder scrolls, The next battlefield, Total war, the next Mount and blade, etc.

cheaper boards don't have Heatsinks and may have poor quality VRMs , which affects longevity when overclocking..

add 1200-1300 Rs more and get Corsair TX550M for Rs 5600 .. if you don't mind it being loud , it is totally worth it for long term for 8 years or so
