gaming(bf3 on low-med settings,other pre-2010 games on med-high setting)
MS-powerpoint,chrome web browsing

5) What screen resolution(s) & type (glossy/matte) would you prefer?
1366 x 768 or higher

• laptop should NOT have any nvidia graphics card(they overheat) ATI will do
• laptop should not have overheating problems
• atleast 4 usb 2.0 ports
• 2nd gen core i5-24xxM
• built should be rugged or matte not glossy fingerprint magnet

else have a look at Toshiba Satellite L750 L750-X5318 / 17 Laptop @ 42k / 44k and nvidia gfx :/

If u can wait a Bit for the AMD trinity laptops, It should be really worth it as the A10-A8 trinity laptops should be around the 40K range(if reviews are correct) which is said to provide considerable graphics support other than any laptops in that price range(according to leaked benchmarks).

Even I suggest you to get the Asus one, it has a nvidia card but still it doesn't have any heating issues

A gaming laptop will heat, gfx cards and heat go hand in hand , with laptops

if you want to game get a desktop , IMHO
i know nothing beats the portability etc., but i've seen so many laptops going bad for people who used to game on it
