Game hangs please help

2 years before when i used to play games like far cry2 etc the game used to run perfectly,as i was in 12 std i did not play games in computer for a year but now when i again reinstalled the games like far cry2,assasins creed the game hangs after playing for 15 min i tried reinstalling the game but no use please help me .Is it a software problem or hardware problem

Get latest drivers.
Check for any virus using any of the free Antivirus(Avira AVG)
Defragment your PC HDD partitions. also run Cleanup using CCleaner.

Also please mention your full PC config.

+1.... wud recommend a good AV program over the free ones... might prove useful in the long run...

Uninstall gfx and audio driver > use driversweeper to clean any registry entry/undeleted files of previous driver > Install latest driver > install latest Directx version.

If problem still not solved Remove gfx card and ram - clean both and their slots too on mobo > remount them properly .
