Gadgets from China??

I have a relative going to china next week and another going next month.

I am wondering, which gadget shall i ask him to bring, i need a tablet nad a smartphone(waiting for SGSA/Xperia P)

So looking for low cost tablets, but sturdy and VFM. Any suggestions.

How much difference will it make from getting it from China instead of India(i understand i will not get the warranty)

Branded Electronic Gadgets are almost the same price in India and China. The difference will be max of a few hundred bucks. Some of the items are costlier too. My friend bought a digicam for 12k from Beijing while it was 10k here. The things which you will find cheaper there are the chinese local electonic goods like mobile phones, mp3 players etc.

1)No warranty= your phone is good as a stone if it fails for any reason.(atleast within warranty) The expenses to fix might be high.
2) There are way too many duplicate items there. Everything has a duplicate. I think you catch what I want to say in this one
3) Buy online at letsbuy.com or Flipkart. The former gives quite heavy discounts if you find a good coupon code

Lenovo too.
See if you want to have mobile/ lappy .
Perhaps products of these brands will be bit cheap there.
