whats with the growing number of old classic films uploaded in youtube, be it hindi, tamil, telugu, hundreds of titles are available, that too in 720p resolution. So many TV Shows are also being upload. i was pleasantly surprised to see old comedies like dekh bhai dekh, office.
I dunno about the legal issues of these uploads but going to give some tough competition to tv channels airing reruns & old films.
i was wondering about implications of entire television, films, media getting uploaded on youtube, netflix and similar sites aired since first broadcast . the effect it will have on television, film industry. it may run into tens & hundreds of petabytes and possibly going to exabyte sometime in future. youtube storage would have already run into tens of petabytes.
