FTP software for seeing image thumbnail

I need to selectively download some images from someone's FTP site, the problem is that there 1200 image & I only need selected images only.

Is there a FTP softawre which can show me small thumbnails on the fly without downloading the entire images? The moment I set view as thumbnail in windows explorer it starts downlading all the files to render thumbnails.

Guys anyone have any clue to such a software? or may be some script which can show thumbnails of the images before I actually download.
