Fraps vs Bandicam vs Dxtory?

Hey,dudes & dudettes



I'm wondering what the best game recording program you guys recommend.. I use fraps a lot,but it has a really big performance hit and ginormous file sizes. ( solved by compressing)

I've heard of bandicam a lot. Does it use less system resources?

I use Fraps. Does the job easily for me. Can record videos on almost all games without much trouble.

OnTopic:I myself use fraps.But it seriously eats up resources and produces large uncompressed files.Sometimes my game stutters while using it.
Will try Bandicam and Dxtory.

Fraps is the best out there. As it captures uncompressed videos thats why produced file size is that large. Try using any video compressor or video editing software to compress the video using any suitable codec.

Bandicam is open source and free. Any bandicam users here?

XFire is better.

Because Xfire also gives you facility to capture sceenshots or videos.

I know fraps. I use it always. I like it. Maybe it's pushy on resources. But I am a man who doesn't look for better things when I've found one which works, and works well. Still I might give the others a try.

fraps has the right options, wouldnt even considering recording with any other software if games are being recorded, esp if the recording has to be even close to professional
