Forgot the Linux root password!

is there anyway to retrieve/reset the password for root in Linux?? pls help.

which Linux R u using may i know! .. it's simple yaar ..insert 1st disc ... type rescue ... & get going! ..

Exactly i dunt remember the complete procedure .... i posted just bcz this might help ya somewhere!! :roll:

Here's the thread at that forum which lists out the way to recover lost root password. I have quoted 2 mags there - Linux For You and Digit. It shows how to get over GRUB and root passwords . DON'T MISUSE THE INFO
