A few months somebody had given me a FREE tool from this forum which performed the task of repairing floppies. I have searched the forum. Somebody had uploaded it to rapidshare.

I remember that it was made by some person called Nikhil and he had named his company Niksoft.

Please somebody give me that tool.

But, Rapidshare which was where somebody had uploaded the software to has deleted it.

I have found out the complete name for it in the meanwhile

Anyway... the best & easiest way would be to SCANDISK the floppy(the more times the better) & then FULL FORMAT it...

This will nullify the bad sectors... rendering them unreadable... so they won't be taken into account when writing...

I'm sorry I would really like that software only.

And formatting a floopy after scanning does not serve my purpose bcoz sometimes the floppy is spoilt beyond repair by the scanddisk embeded in Windows.

This software was capable of doing it .


Please somebody do help me find a suitable solution or the same software as I mentioned above.

yes plz again load the software , all old links r dead .. especially niksoft was very good in its task . also the original thread is lost, where he had provided its sourcecode..if any digit member have archieved it here then plz share the exe file as well as source code.

WTF is floppy?

floppies still r use in some official work.
for backups daily ....have to send them daily to regional office.
In govt organisation it is not ur decision to upgrade..
software they use r still old dated but r reliable

so anyone has niksoft softwre then plz post it...
