Flicker on Monitor - Only if tapped

I have an old 14” CRT Monitor, > 5 years.
Now when I turn on the PC, any slight tapping around the table etc results into a short flicker on monitor.
As such the flicker happens only if I tap the table or casing on the monitor..otherwise there’s no flicker as such. Also it stops after some time.

What could this be indicative of?

^^Monitor dying out...time to get an LCD

Loose contact in the circuit, possibly. Best thing is to replace and not to repair.

how to connect LCD Monitor to VGA out ..is there a connectivity/ plug or some adapter is required..

Almost all LCD monitors have VGA as well as DVI inputs. (some don't have DVI)
