The Best Graphics Cards: Nvidia vs. AMD Current-Gen Comparison

Some games run well on 670( Max Payne, Borderlands)
At other times they run better on 7950 (Skyrim,BF3)

So if u dont plan to go with boost then 670(better than normal 7950)

^^ read the reviews properly. After the Catalyst 12.11 driver update, HD 7950 with Boost BIOs performs similarly like a GTX 670 and where GTX 670 is ahead, the performance difference is very minimal and can't justify the price differece. Currently Sapphire HD 7950 Vapor-X OC with Boost is available around 21.5 to 22K which is a factory overclocked card and comes with a very good cooler design whereas a stock GTX 670 will cost you around 25K +. Now by paying little extra you can easily get a HD 7970 Overclocked version (MSI, available @ 28.5K) which offers performance similar to GTX 680.

Money is a factor for me. So i need a card with good VFM.
Will the 3GB VRAM of 7950 be of much use, compared to the 2GB of 670?
Also should i consider the 660Ti?

Dragon...Dragon...Dragon.
At 1920x1200 the GeForce GTX 670 is 12% faster than the Radeon HD 7950 and just 2% faster than the 7950 Boost. However the GTX 670 is 27% more expensive than both cards, so whichever way you slice it the Radeon HD 7950 Boost is the better proposition and things just get worse for the GTX 670 as the resolution is increased.

Go for 7950....

Also if low on budget , 660 is a very nice card.

But if this is true..Radeon HD 7950 vs. GeForce GTX 660 Ti revisited - The Tech Report - Page 6 6 of the review)
660 does seem much better.

7950 's advantage lies in the 3gb vram, OC potential, lower price and the compute performance.
