Right off the assembly line
I recently got a Philips 5.500 i/S sound system as I read it was the best in its category a few months back in Digit. But the problem now is the speaker does not connect to my laptop. It has inputs only for 5.1 DVD players, CD player, AUX etc. So I thought maybe getting a USB external sound card will help. I have Rs. 2500 to spare and which sound card can I get for this price for a 5.1 system and will I be able to plug in the Philips 5.500 i/C in that sound card?

For 2.5k u'll have a hard time getting anything. For slightly more you can get a live 24bit USB. For 130$ or so(if you buy in the US) you'll get an M-Audio Audiophile USB. Awesome card for the price.
