connect the ext hdd to the pc (i asume ure using an external usb casing for this purpose). right click on my computer and select 'manage' >storage > disk management. ure ext hdd will be listed in it. rt click on each partitions of ext hdd and delete. finally create a single partition. Warning !! be careful while doing this coz the task cannot be undone.

else u'll have to use a third party application (partition managers) to convert all partitions to a single one.

In windows vista i think u'll have an option to merge two partitions. (non destructive)

make sure to backup the data before doing this.
