Broken In
Hello frnds by mistake i had plugged 19v laptop adapter instead of 12v adapter to my seagate freeagent 1TB..
Now my hard disk is not switching on.
Will it can be repaired and data be recovered
once i opened it i found a capacitor sort of thing little burnt up..so i removed the 3.5" harddisk and connected it parrallely to my normal sata hard disk to check if hard disk is not faulty
PC config in which i connected was
pentium 4 old one
256mb ram
but once i connected the system does not boot up..
may be becoz of the over limit of the HD size supported by my mobo
so does it mean my 1TB hard disk is safe and only power circuit is faulty
pls help
