Evleaks retiring !!

He was the one who first shared to the world, among other things, that Nokia is working on an Android phone, and it was he who showed us the first images of the Sony Xperia Tablet Z2. He gave us the first image of the HTC One (M8) and was first to show the Nvidia Shield Tablet to the world. Most recently, he's been showing us a stream of images of the yet unannounced Samsung Galaxy F.

Evan Blass, the man behind the infamous Twitter channel, @evleaks, has been steadily supplying the phone industry with fresh leaks of images of yet unannounced devices. Tech journalists and phone manufacturers have been following his Twitter with equal eagerness in the past two years.
Evan however has just announced that he's about to retire @evleaks, which currently has about 187,000 followers. There were no particular reasons given, but rumors suggest that this may be due to legal pressure from one or more phone manufacturers.
Evan Blass used to work as an editor for Engadget and PocketNow and has been well known for his leaks even before he started his infamous Twitter channel @evleaks back in 2012. Ever since then he's been of great help for tech journalists and tech enthusiasts alike, providing us with leaked press shots and info about hundreds of phones and tablets before their announcements.
We are sure Evan will find another way to put to use his unusual skills so we can only wish him good luck in his next endeavor. We'll sure miss @evleaks.

Such people don't retire. They respawn in other forms.
Atleast I wish he does.

How he gets those images??

EVLeaks have "sources". Mostly unknown, but the guy behind Evleaks got into trouble lots of time due to leaking such screenshots.
That's why he had to retire, probably, couldn't take the pressure anymore.

But what they don’t tell you is that, sometimes, the job sucks the fun right out of the hobby after a while.
Remember this when you want to get a job at something you love. It is going to kill that love. It's better to not be professionally involved in something that you really enjoy doing.

chances of him getting into trouble are rare..

many companies have approached him with information that they want to leak.. watch his interview .. Mobile companies benefits from this as well as they get many News rounds because of leaking..sure it does kill the suspense on launch day but i think it is worth giving up if the product gets coverage this many times ...

it must be 2 much work for him on keeping tab on the leaks , verifying his sources, keeping track of it and must be taking a toll on his illness..
